The 26th annual National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is approaching. This year's event will be held on Saturday, May 12th. Food placed next to the mailbox will be picked up by your regular letter carrier or other postal volunteer.
This event is a major source of food for the pantry. All food donated in Westfield stays in Westfield and will be brought to the Westfield Food Pantry for distribution to Westfield residents.
Last year we received a record-breaking 18,896 pounds of food. You can help make this year's event just as successful.
-Set non-perishable food out by your mailbox before your normal mail pickup time on May 12
-Volunteer on the afternoon of May 12 to help sort and stock the food received. If you are interested in volunteering contact Elizabeth at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We welcome any unopened, unexpired, non-perishable donation, but the following items are particularly needed:
Hearty canned soups
Jam or jelly
This year's event will be held on Sunday, October 21. Please plan to join us for our annual walk to support hunger relief!Show full post
